CEWS update July 14, 2020

The Federal government announced, yesterday, that the CEWS program will be extended until December 2020. Full details of the original extension to August 29th, and the most recent extension are not yet available.

Bill C-17, which has not yet been passed by parliament, also provides for changes in the existing eligibility criteria to allow employers who do not have their own payroll number, but who use a third party provider or paymaster, to qualify for the subsidy.
