After taking accounting in grade 11, I found a way to use my love of math and puzzles as a career. Another accounting course in grade 12 confirmed my suspicions. Solving problems with numbers meant that there was always a solution to find, whereas words were never as straightforward.

During my co-op term at Hendry Warren, I enjoyed the diverse tasks available to grow as a professional. This continued after joining the firm full-time when taking on assurance engagements. At the firm, I also have the chance to train new staff and be on the social committee. Assisting with training and mentoring new students is important to me because I was hired at Hendry Warren for my eight-month co-op.

Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Elena graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2020 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and joined Hendry Warren full-time in January 2021. She is a CPA Canada and CPA Ontario member and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2023.
