From the time I took my first accounting course in Grade 10 I’ve loved accounting. Initially, it was because I loved math and numbers, but now I like the client service part even more than the numbers. Growing up on a dairy farm in the Kawartha Lakes region, I learned from an early age what it means to work hard. My parents are very hard working and take pride what they have accomplished. As my mom says: any job worth doing is worth doing right.
I’ve taken their examples and work ethic with me into accounting. At Hendry Warren, I enjoy being able to provide valuable accounting assistance to small business owners and entrepreneurs who are passionate about their businesses. I also work with many not-for-profit organizations to ensure their assurance needs are met, as well as mentoring and training newer staff members in auditing. I love the work diversity that Hendry Warren gives me.
I received my Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting from Carleton University in 2011. I joined the Hendry Warren team in 2013 full time after traveling for a year. I am a member of CPA Ontario and CPA Canada and obtained my Chartered Accountant designation in 2015.
